As we continue to scale, we are looking for a seasoned and dynamic VP of Sales to lead our sales organization, drive revenue growth, and contribute to our go-to-market strategy.

 

Job Summary:

The VP of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s sales strategy, leading and scaling the sales team, and driving revenue growth. This role involves leading both outbound and inbound sales efforts, optimizing the sales process, and working cross-functionally to ensure alignment with marketing, product, and customer success teams. The VP of Sales will play a critical role in shaping the company’s go-to-market strategy and establishing the foundation for sustainable growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including account executives, sales development representatives (SDRs), and sales managers, to ensure they meet and exceed sales targets and quotas.

Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, target markets, and product offerings. Identify new opportunities for revenue generation and market expansion.

Revenue Growth: Drive overall sales performance to achieve revenue targets, focusing on new customer acquisition, expansion within existing accounts, and reducing churn.

Pipeline Management: Oversee the development and management of a robust sales pipeline, ensuring that opportunities are progressing and properly tracked within the CRM system.

Process Optimization: Continuously refine and optimize the sales process, from lead generation to deal closing, to improve conversion rates and shorten the sales cycle.

Go-to-Market Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure go-to-market alignment, deliver compelling messaging, and improve the customer journey.

Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, regular reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and progress toward revenue goals to senior leadership.

Team Development & Culture: Foster a high-performance sales culture by coaching, training, and mentoring team members. Focus on developing talent and ensuring career growth within the sales organization.

Customer Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and prospects. Serve as an escalation point for high-value or strategic accounts.

Market Insights: Stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and market developments to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.

Budget Management: Manage the sales department budget, including allocation of resources, setting commission structures, and determining sales team incentives.

 

Qualifications:

Experience: 7-10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, with a proven track record of leading successful sales teams and driving revenue growth.

Leadership: 3-5 years in a senior sales leadership role, such as Sales Director, VP of Sales, or Head of Sales, preferably in a SaaS environment.

Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performing sales teams, achieving revenue targets, and driving new business growth.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, enter new markets, and drive sales process improvements.

Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, reporting, and using data to drive sales performance.

CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft) to manage pipeline and performance.

Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success to align on strategies and drive overall company success.

Excellent Communication: Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience selling to enterprise and mid-market customers.

• Knowledge of SaaS sales methodologies such as Challenger Sales, Solution Selling, or MEDDIC.

• Familiarity with scaling a sales organization from early stages to significant growth.
