Job Summary:
The Solutions Engineer will work closely with the sales, product, and customer success teams to provide technical expertise during the sales process, ensuring our solutions meet the specific needs of prospective and existing customers. You will serve as a trusted advisor, assisting with product demos, technical presentations, and solution design. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills, a deep understanding of our product, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and present tailored SaaS solutions that meet those requirements during demos, technical discussions, and proof of concept (PoC) engagements.
• Product Demos & Presentations: Lead technical product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the value of our solution in addressing specific business challenges for potential customers.
• Solution Design: Work closely with prospects to understand their business goals, gather technical requirements, and design customized solutions using our SaaS platform. Ensure technical feasibility and compatibility with their existing systems.
• Technical Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact for prospective customers during the pre-sales process. Provide detailed answers to technical questions, and troubleshoot any issues or concerns that arise.
• Collaborate with Product & Engineering: Provide feedback from prospects and customers to the product and engineering teams to inform future product development and improvements. Help shape the roadmap based on real-world insights.
• Customer Onboarding: Work closely with customer success and implementation teams to ensure a seamless transition from the sales process to post-sale implementation, ensuring that customers get the most out of the solution.
• RFP & Technical Documentation: Assist with the preparation of responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), technical documentation, and other materials required during the sales process.
• Training & Enablement: Provide training to internal sales and customer success teams on technical aspects of the product, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge to communicate value to customers.
• Solution Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving technical challenges that arise during the implementation or pre-sales process.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years of experience in a technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant within a B2B SaaS company.
• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and APIs. Experience integrating SaaS solutions with other enterprise systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams.
• Experience with technical sales cycles, including pre-sales demos, proof of concepts, and solution design.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and demo/presentation tools (e.g., Zoom, WebEx).
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with enterprise or mid-market clients in a SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and database management.
• Knowledge of common integration protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, webhooks).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
