Job Summary:

The Solutions Consultant will play a key role in pre-sales engagements by collaborating with the sales team and prospective customers to understand their business needs, and demonstrate how our SaaS products can address those challenges. You will act as a trusted advisor and product expert, guiding prospects through technical requirements, solution design, and product implementation strategies. This position is a blend of technical expertise, consultative selling, and customer relationship management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide expert guidance on how our SaaS products can address specific business challenges.

Solution Design: Lead solution discovery and design workshops with prospective customers, helping to tailor our solutions to fit their unique business and technical requirements.

Product Demos: Deliver engaging and customized product demonstrations, highlighting the value, features, and technical capabilities of our software. Address specific client pain points and use cases.

Technical Consultation: Serve as the technical resource during sales engagements, answering detailed product questions, addressing technical concerns, and ensuring alignment with client requirements.

RFPs & Proposals: Assist with crafting responses to RFPs and writing technical sections of proposals, ensuring alignment with customer needs and positioning our solutions competitively.

Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer during internal discussions, providing feedback to product teams based on client needs, and collaborating on future product developments.

Proof of Concept (PoC) & Trials: Lead or support PoC or trial engagements, working with customers to implement and test our solutions in real-world environments to demonstrate value and feasibility.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure customer requirements are being met and to help shape the future roadmap based on market insights.

Training & Enablement: Provide technical training and onboarding for customers post-sale, ensuring smooth implementation and maximizing early adoption of the platform.

Stay Updated on Product & Industry Trends: Continuously learn about product enhancements, market trends, and industry challenges to provide customers with up-to-date advice and recommendations.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3-5 years of experience in a Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer, or similar pre-sales role within a B2B SaaS company.

• Strong technical acumen and ability to understand complex SaaS products, APIs, and integrations.

• Proven experience working with customers to design and implement software solutions tailored to their business requirements.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with enterprise SaaS solutions, including experience with integrations, custom configurations, and deployment in complex environments.

• Knowledge of sales methodologies such as Challenger Sales, Solution Selling, or consultative selling.

• Familiarity with specific industries or verticals relevant to the company’s product offerings.
