Role Overview:

The Sales Enablement Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales enablement strategy to empower the sales team. This includes equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to effectively sell our products and services. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product, and training teams to create and deliver impactful enablement programs. This role is critical to accelerating productivity, enhancing sales capabilities, and driving revenue growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Sales Enablement Strategy & Planning:

• Define and lead the company-wide sales enablement strategy, aligning with business goals and objectives.

• Develop a structured roadmap for onboarding, training, and continuous education programs for the sales team.

• Work closely with sales leadership to identify key needs, performance gaps, and areas for improvement.

 

2. Content & Resources Development:

• Create and curate sales enablement content, such as sales playbooks, product training, competitive analysis, and case studies.

• Ensure that all sales materials are easily accessible, up-to-date, and tailored to the needs of various segments of the sales team.

• Collaborate with marketing to align content with buyer personas and positioning.

 

3. Onboarding & Training Programs:

• Develop and manage a comprehensive onboarding program for new sales hires, accelerating their time to productivity.

• Conduct ongoing training sessions to ensure the sales team is up-to-date on new product features, industry trends, and sales methodologies.

• Assess the effectiveness of training programs through performance metrics and adjust programs accordingly.

 

4. Tools & Technology Management:

• Evaluate, implement, and optimize sales enablement technologies (e.g., CRM, LMS, sales analytics tools) to improve productivity.

• Ensure the sales team is effectively utilizing tools and technology to enhance their workflows and increase efficiency.

 

5. Performance Metrics & Analytics:

• Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of enablement programs, including impact on sales productivity, quota attainment, and win rates.

• Regularly assess sales performance data and feedback to identify enablement opportunities and refine strategies.

• Report on key enablement KPIs and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with product teams to facilitate product training and ensure the sales team is equipped with the latest product knowledge.

• Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies, messaging, and content needs.

• Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, and product teams to drive alignment and streamline communication.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.

• 8+ years of experience in sales enablement, sales, or a related role within a B2B SaaS environment.

• Proven track record of designing and implementing successful sales enablement programs.

• Strong knowledge of sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN, MEDDIC, Challenger Sales).

• Experience with sales enablement and CRM tools, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Seismic, or Highspot.

• Excellent communication, project management, and presentation skills.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable plans.
