Job Summary:

As the Product Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading the product marketing function, crafting compelling product narratives, and driving go-to-market strategies for our SaaS solutions. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will collaborate closely with product, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure our products are positioned effectively in the market and resonate with our target audience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of B2B SaaS, market research, and product positioning, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for product launches and feature releases, ensuring effective positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target customers.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, market needs, and opportunities. Provide insights to influence product development and improve competitive positioning.

Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for different customer segments. Ensure consistency across all marketing and sales materials.

Sales Enablement: Partner with sales teams to create and deliver compelling sales enablement materials, including product demos, case studies, battle cards, and solution guides. Train sales teams on product messaging and positioning.

Customer & Buyer Personas: Define and continually refine customer and buyer personas, ensuring the marketing, sales, and product teams have a clear understanding of the target audience and how to address their pain points.

Content Development: Oversee the creation of product-related content, such as whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and blog posts. Ensure that all content aligns with the product messaging and is targeted to the right audience.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align on product strategy, customer feedback, and market trends.

Customer Advocacy & Testimonials: Partner with the customer success team to identify and leverage customer advocates for testimonials, case studies, and referrals. Use customer success stories to drive product credibility and marketing efforts.

Metrics & Reporting: Track and analyze product marketing performance metrics, including product adoption, win/loss rates, and campaign effectiveness. Use insights to refine marketing strategies and drive business growth.

Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the marketing aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to launch to end-of-life, ensuring continuous engagement with customers and alignment with company goals.

Thought Leadership: Position the company as a leader in the industry by participating in industry events, conferences, webinars, and creating thought leadership content that highlights the company’s vision and product innovation.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA preferred).

• 7-10 years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on B2B SaaS solutions.

• Proven track record of successfully launching and positioning SaaS products in competitive markets.

• Strong understanding of the SaaS business model, product development processes, and customer lifecycle management.

• Experience conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product and marketing strategies.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical features into customer benefits.

• Experience creating sales enablement materials and supporting sales teams with effective product messaging.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to track and measure key performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.

• Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, while ensuring quality and timely execution.

• Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in high-growth SaaS environments, particularly within enterprise or mid-market segments.

• Understanding of key product marketing methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Jobs to be Done, Pragmatic Marketing).

• Experience managing product launches in both domestic and international markets.
