As we expand, we are looking for a strategic and data-driven Marketing Operations Director to lead our marketing operations team. This role is essential in optimizing our marketing systems, processes, and data to ensure effective demand generation, lead management, and marketing performance analysis.

 

Job Summary:

The Marketing Operations Director will oversee the marketing operations function, focusing on the development, execution, and optimization of marketing processes and technologies. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of marketing automation, CRM systems, and data analysis, as well as the ability to drive alignment across the marketing, sales, and revenue teams. The Marketing Operations Director will ensure the efficient management of marketing programs, campaigns, and performance reporting to help the business achieve its growth objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Technology Management: Oversee and manage the marketing technology stack (e.g., marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools) to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns and alignment with sales processes.

Campaign Execution & Optimization: Develop and implement workflows, processes, and best practices for campaign execution. Work with demand generation, product marketing, and content teams to ensure effective lead nurturing, scoring, and handoff to sales.

Data & Analytics: Own the marketing data strategy, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of key metrics such as lead generation, lead velocity, pipeline contribution, and marketing ROI. Develop dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

Lead Management: Optimize the lead lifecycle, from acquisition to conversion, ensuring that leads are properly captured, scored, nurtured, and routed to the appropriate teams. Collaborate with sales and marketing to streamline lead handoff and ensure alignment on lead quality.

Performance Analysis: Analyze marketing performance across all channels and campaigns, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing efforts.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine marketing processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. Ensure smooth collaboration between marketing, sales, and operations teams.

Budget & Resource Management: Work with the marketing team to manage the marketing operations budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support campaign execution, technology investments, and team productivity.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of marketing operations professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure team success. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Compliance & Data Privacy: Ensure that marketing practices adhere to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and maintain the integrity and security of customer and lead data.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).

• 7+ years of experience in marketing operations or a similar role within a B2B SaaS environment.

• Proven experience managing marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

• Strong analytical skills with experience in marketing data analysis, performance reporting, and budget management.

• Expertise in lead management processes, including lead scoring, lead nurturing, and sales handoff.

• Proficiency in using data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Analytics, Excel) to provide insights and drive decision-making.

• Strong understanding of demand generation, ABM (Account-Based Marketing), and digital marketing strategies.

• Excellent project management and process optimization skills, with experience driving cross-functional collaboration between marketing, sales, and operations teams.

• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience implementing compliant marketing practices.

• Experience managing and mentoring marketing operations teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.

• Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data integration platforms.

• Expertise in marketing attribution models and marketing mix analysis.
