Job Summary:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, vision, and execution at the company. As a member of the executive team, you will collaborate with other leaders to shape the product roadmap and ensure our technology infrastructure supports the company’s growth objectives. You will lead the engineering and product teams, overseeing all aspects of technology development, security, and innovation, while driving operational excellence in product delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Leadership: Set the overall technical vision for the company, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product strategy. Lead the development of our technology roadmap to drive innovation and scalability.

• Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable software products are delivered on time and within budget.

• Engineering Management: Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage engineering team performance to meet or exceed company objectives.

• Scalability & Infrastructure: Ensure the technology infrastructure and architecture are scalable, secure, and optimized to support future growth and evolving customer needs. Focus on performance optimization and system reliability.

• Innovation & R&D: Stay ahead of technology trends, evaluating and incorporating new tools, methodologies, and technologies that can drive product innovation and improve development processes.

• Security & Compliance: Oversee the security strategy and compliance initiatives to protect customer data and ensure the company adheres to relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, etc.).

• Collaboration with Product & Business Teams: Work closely with the product, sales, and marketing teams to align technology initiatives with customer needs and market opportunities. Ensure a strong feedback loop from customers to the product and engineering teams.

• Technical Debt & Process Improvement: Identify and address technical debt, ensuring sustainable, efficient development processes that balance innovation with product stability and reliability.

• Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and third-party providers to ensure the best tools and services are leveraged to support the company’s technology strategy.

• Executive Collaboration: Collaborate with other executives to align technology strategy with business goals. Contribute to board meetings, investor relations, and high-level business strategy.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, including 5+ years in a CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar capacity in a B2B SaaS environment.

• Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-growing, high-performance environment.

• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and modern technology stacks (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, microservices architecture).

• Strong experience in designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance SaaS platforms.

• Experience driving technology innovation and leading R&D efforts.

• Hands-on technical expertise, with the ability to get involved in detailed technical discussions when needed.

• Proven ability to develop and execute technology strategies that align with business goals and drive revenue growth.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Experience with security best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001).

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AI, machine learning, or data analytics platforms.

• Previous experience working in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.

• Knowledge of enterprise software and integration best practices.

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
