Job Summary:

As Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will oversee the company’s entire marketing function, including demand generation, product marketing, brand development, and customer engagement. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives revenue growth, increases brand awareness, and establishes the company as a leader in the B2B SaaS space. The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing executive with proven experience scaling marketing operations and driving measurable results in a high-growth environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy Development: Define and lead the overall marketing strategy for the company, aligning closely with sales, product, and leadership to ensure strategic and financial objectives are met.

Demand Generation & Growth Marketing: Build and execute data-driven demand generation campaigns across multiple channels (digital, content, social, SEO, events, email) to drive qualified leads, MQLs, and pipeline for the sales team.

Brand Development: Strengthen and scale the company’s brand, positioning it as an industry leader within the B2B SaaS market. Develop thought leadership content, PR, and external communications to increase market visibility.

Product Marketing: Oversee the creation of effective product marketing strategies, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans for new product launches. Collaborate with product management to align marketing with the product roadmap.

Team Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing marketing team, driving a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence. Scale the team as the company grows, ensuring that it aligns with the evolving needs of the business.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, product, and customer success teams to align marketing efforts with sales targets, product development, and customer retention strategies.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics, marketing automation tools, and CRM systems to track marketing performance, optimize campaigns, and ensure marketing ROI. Continuously analyze performance metrics to adjust strategies accordingly.

Customer Insights & Market Research: Utilize market research and customer feedback to understand target audiences, refine marketing strategies, and improve customer acquisition and retention. Stay informed on industry trends and competitive positioning.

Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated to drive maximum impact on company growth and ROI.

Executive Leadership: Work closely with the executive team to contribute to overall company strategy, provide updates to the board, and ensure marketing alignment with company objectives. Act as a thought leader and spokesperson for the company at key events and in the media.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with a strong background in B2B SaaS, including a proven track record of building and executing successful growth marketing strategies.

• Deep expertise in demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, and brand development in a SaaS environment.

• Proven experience in scaling marketing operations in high-growth companies, driving pipeline growth, and generating measurable revenue results.

• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience building and developing marketing teams.

• Strong understanding of modern marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics), along with a data-driven mindset to optimize marketing performance.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and represent the company externally.

• A visionary mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in global marketing campaigns targeting enterprise-level clients.

• Deep understanding of key sales methodologies and alignment between sales and marketing.

• Expertise in growth marketing strategies that focus on customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.

• Knowledge of account-based marketing (ABM) and inbound marketing strategies.
