We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team, where you’ll play a critical role in leading the financial strategy of the company through its next phase of growth.
Position Summary:
As the CFO, you will oversee all financial operations of the company, providing strategic financial leadership and guidance. You’ll work closely with the CEO, board members, and the executive team to develop and execute strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth, optimize financial performance, and enhance overall shareholder value. This role requires a seasoned financial leader with experience in high-growth SaaS environments, an aptitude for data-driven decision-making, and a proactive approach to risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s overall growth objectives.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive operational efficiencies and align financial goals with business objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to influence short-term and long-term decision-making.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes to support growth and profitability targets.
• Create and present detailed financial analysis to the executive team and board to inform strategic planning.
• Monitor key SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, LTV:CAC ratio, NRR) to optimize the financial health and performance of the business.
3. Capital Structure & Fundraising
• Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and reporting.
• Lead fundraising efforts, as needed, including Series A/B/C rounds, venture debt, and other financing opportunities.
• Optimize the capital structure to support growth initiatives and strategic M&A opportunities.
4. Operational Efficiency & Cost Management
• Drive operational improvements across finance and other departments, focusing on process automation and SaaS-specific metrics.
• Ensure effective cash flow management, working capital optimization, and cost control.
• Develop financial policies, procedures, and controls that enhance efficiency and ensure compliance.
5. Risk Management & Compliance
• Oversee all financial and legal compliance matters, including accounting standards, tax regulations, and data privacy laws.
• Establish robust internal controls and risk management frameworks to mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
6. Team Development & Leadership
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Encourage cross-functional collaboration, ensuring the finance team provides value to other departments (sales, product, and operations).
• Serve as a strategic thought leader in the organization, promoting data-driven decision-making and financial transparency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
• Proven experience with SaaS metrics and business models, including ARR, churn, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value.
• Strong track record in fundraising, capital markets, and investor relations.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting.
• Knowledge of financial systems, ERP platforms, and automation tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
