To support our growth, we are looking for a driven and results-oriented BDR Team Manager to lead our Business Development Representative (BDR) team and drive lead generation success.

 

Job Summary:

The BDR Team Manager will be responsible for managing and coaching a team of BDRs tasked with generating and qualifying leads to drive sales pipeline growth. This role requires a strong leader who can optimize outbound sales strategies, provide mentorship, and help the team meet and exceed performance metrics. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and leadership to align strategies and ensure the BDR team’s efforts are contributing effectively to the company’s growth targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the BDR team to ensure they meet their individual and team-level KPIs, including outreach, meetings booked, and qualified leads.

Strategy Development & Execution: Design and implement outbound prospecting strategies that align with the company’s sales and marketing goals, targeting the right industries and buyer personas.

Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor the performance of the BDR team using KPIs and CRM tools, providing regular feedback, reporting on team metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.

Coaching & Development: Provide regular 1:1 coaching sessions to improve prospecting techniques, communication, and qualification skills. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align on campaign strategies, messaging, and lead handoff processes. Ensure smooth collaboration and communication across departments.

Lead Qualification & Handoff: Oversee lead qualification to ensure high-quality prospects are passed to the sales team, optimizing conversion rates and pipeline health.

Process Optimization: Continuously refine and improve outbound processes, tools, and team workflows to increase efficiency and lead quality.

Hiring & Onboarding: Participate in hiring and onboarding of new BDRs, ensuring they are set up for success and integrated into the team effectively.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3-5 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or sales role, with at least 1-2 years in a team lead or managerial role within a B2B SaaS company.

• Proven success managing a BDR or SDR team, driving results, and consistently meeting lead generation goals.

• Deep understanding of outbound sales processes, prospecting techniques, and lead qualification methodologies.

• Excellent leadership, coaching, and motivational skills with the ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.

• Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft).

• Data-driven and analytical, with strong reporting and forecasting skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with enterprise or mid-market SaaS sales processes.

• Familiarity with key sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger Sales, Solution Selling, or SPIN Selling).

• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives between sales and marketing teams.
